CONSULATE OF AUSTRALIA / HOUSTON

The Consulate, headed by Honorary Consul Nana Booker AM, was established in late 1999 to provide assistance to Australian citizens, and to represent the Australian government in Texas. The Consulate is responsible for providing information re consular and passport issues; furthering Australian commercial, cultural, educational, scientific and technological interests; increasing public awareness of Australia; serving as a representative of the Australian government at ceremonial and public affairs events; assisting with the visits of Australian officials; maintaining relations with the City of Houston and State of Texas; assisting Australian citizens in emergency situations; and handling situations as requested by the Ambassador of Australia to the United States or his designee(s).
