Energy in an Evolving World: Sustainability, Reliability, Affordability
Continuing the Conversation

While there is a push both within the U.S. and Australia to increase energy output from
renewable resources, there are no expectations that this will replace fossil fuels in near term. Australia and the U.S. both have an abundance of oil and gas in the form of oil shale, natural gas deposits and coal seam methane. The successful development of these deposits is heavily influenced by local government policies, economic viability, available project resources and ensuring that developments are conducted in an environmental responsible manor.

This conference is designed to provide a forum for oil and gas operators and industry experts from
Australia and the United States to discuss their varying perspectives and lessons learned on development of oil and gas reserves in the U.S. and Australia. All conference delegates should come prepared with opinions and be ready to participate in a full day of interactive discussions. Over 250 energy industry leaders, C-level executives, academics, and interested individuals are expected to attend the 2012 Energy Conference.

Keynote and session speakers will include The Honorable Martin Ferguson, AM, MP, Minister
for Resources and Energy; Minister for Tourism Australia (invited); and Senior Executives from
Apache Corporation, Australian Government, BHP Billiton Petroleum, Chevron Corporation, ConocoPhillips, Queensland Government, Rice University and Western Australian Government, just to name a few.
